Singapore Student Packages

A school trip should leave students with something to write about when they get home. Our Singapore programmes are built around that idea: fewer stops, longer visits, and a reason to be at each one.

Why Singapore, why us

Built for the way student groups actually travel

Singapore is small enough to cover in a few days and serious enough to deserve the trip. A class can stand inside a cloud forest at Gardens by the Bay in the morning and be on a university campus after lunch. There is no long internal flight to burn a day, and the public transport and signage make it easy to keep a group of forty moving without chaos.

What we avoid is the packed itinerary that looks impressive on paper. Four attractions before lunch usually means four photo stops. We would rather give a batch ninety minutes at the Science Centre, hand them a short observation sheet, and let the visit land.

Every programme is quoted in rupees, with the inclusions written out line by line. No hidden city taxes dressed up as "extras", and no last-minute surcharge invented at the airport.

Inside the programme

What students actually do all day

Four threads run through every itinerary. How much time each one gets depends on the stream your group belongs to.

Science Centre

Interactive galleries and a scheduled workshop slot, usually on the second morning when students are still fresh.

Campus visits

Guided walks through NUS or NTU with time for questions, plus an admissions briefing for senior batches.

Cultural quarters

Little India, Chinatown and Kampong Glam, walked on foot with a worksheet rather than seen from a coach window.

Hostel life

Clean shared rooms, warden on site, breakfast included. Students handle their own room keys and curfew.

Sample plan

Four days, and no wasted afternoons

This is the shape of the Educational Discovery Tour. Every school gets its own version, but the rhythm stays the same: one substantial visit each morning, one lighter experience after lunch, and an early dinner.

Long coach transfers are kept to the first and last day. On the middle days the group is rarely in the bus for more than twenty minutes at a stretch.

Built around the school day Mornings start at 8:00, lights out by 22:00. Free time is supervised, and every student carries a card with the coordinator's number and the hotel address.

Day 1

Land, settle, walk

Airport pickup and hostel check-in. A short orientation walk through Little India, then an early dinner so the group can sleep off the flight.

Day 2

Science Centre and Gardens by the Bay

A full morning at the Science Centre with a workshop slot. After lunch, the conservatories at Gardens by the Bay and the evening light show.

Day 3

Zoo, then the old city

Singapore Zoo in the cooler morning hours, including a keeper talk. Chinatown and the heritage trails after lunch, with a debrief before dinner.

Day 4

Merlion, Marina Bay, departure

Merlion Park and a walk around Marina Bay, a last group photograph, and the transfer to Changi with enough buffer for check-in.

The paperwork part

What is in the price, and what is not

Written plainly, because this is the section school administrators forward to the accounts department.

Duty of care

Safety is a schedule, not a sentence

  • One coordinator, start to finish

The same person meets the group at Changi and stays until departure. No handovers midway through the tour.

  • Coaches and drivers we know

Pre-booked coaches with a fixed driver roster, and driving hours that leave room for rest between days.

  • Accommodation checked in person

We inspect the hostels we use: secure entry, warden on site, and rooms that can be grouped by class or house.

  • Food that students will eat

Vegetarian and Jain meals can be arranged when you tell us at the planning stage. Allergy notes are carried by the coordinator.

  • A number parents can call

One 24-hour line, shared with the school office before departure, so families are not chasing five different numbers.

Student group moving between attractions in Singapore
Questions we get asked

Before you send the proposal to the principal

The practical ones, answered without the brochure language.

What is included in a Singapore student package?

Land arrangements in Singapore: shared hostel or hotel rooms, daily breakfast and the meals listed in the itinerary, an air-conditioned coach for transfers and sightseeing, entrance tickets for the attractions named in the plan, and a local coordinator with the group. Airfare, visa fees and personal spending sit outside the package price. Every quotation lists inclusions line by line, so compare plans on that sheet rather than on the headline figure.

How many students do we need for a group departure?

The per-student rates shown here assume a group travelling together, usually 20 students or more. Smaller batches from one school can still travel, but coach and coordination costs are shared across fewer people, so the per-head price moves up. Send us your actual number and we will quote against it instead of rounding you into a group size.

Do accompanying teachers travel free?

Teacher and chaperone places are costed into the group quotation rather than promised as a fixed free ratio. Once we know how many students are travelling and how many staff members will accompany them, the proposal shows the chaperone cost separately so your institution can see exactly what it is paying for.

When should we plan a Singapore trip for a school group?

Singapore runs tours all year, so the calendar is less about weather and more about school holidays and crowd levels. June and December are the busiest months for Indian student groups, and hostels and coaches get booked early. February to May is generally easier on both budget and queues. For a June departure, start planning four to five months ahead.

Do students need a visa for Singapore?

Yes. Indian passport holders need a Singapore visa before departure, and applications go through authorised visa agents. We supply the documents that depend on the tour: the day-by-day itinerary, confirmed accommodation, and a covering letter from us. Students and staff then submit their own forms, photographs and passport details through the agent handling the group.

How do you keep a school group safe on tour?

Groups move on pre-booked coaches with a fixed driver roster, stay in hostels or hotels we have inspected, and are briefed on meeting points and emergency contacts before each day starts. A coordinator travels with the group for the whole programme, and teachers keep the rooming list and medical notes. We also share a 24-hour number with the school office so parents have one place to call.

Can the itinerary be changed to match our syllabus?

Yes, and it usually should be. A physics department will want more time at the Science Centre, a commerce group may prefer a business district walk, and a history batch will get more from the heritage trails. Tell us the subjects and the learning outcomes you need and we will rebuild the days around them, keeping travel time realistic.

What is the booking process?

Send us the number of students, staff, preferred dates and the subjects you want covered. We come back with a written proposal covering the itinerary, inclusions, exclusions and per-student cost. The booking is confirmed when the advance mentioned in that proposal is received, and the balance falls due before departure as stated there. No payment is taken on this page.

Send us the dates and the number of students

We will come back with a written itinerary and a cost sheet your principal can sign off on. One conversation is usually enough to settle the outline.
